Over a dozen tornadoes touched down throughout the Treasure Coast on Wednesday before Hurricane Milton made landfall.

More than 100 tornado warnings were issued in south Florida and 19 touched down in and around Port St. Lucie and the Treasure Coast.

Extensive damage to houses and businesses are being reported in St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and Palm Beach counties with multiple fatalities in St. Lucie County.

Hurricane Milton made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane Wednesday night near Siesta Key on the west coast of Florida and downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane as it moved across the state.

As the storm moves off the east coast on Thursday, it leaves a wave of devastation with over a dozen destructive tornadoes in it’s wake.
